Highly skilled K9 Teams (handlers and dogs) with hundreds of hours of training in multiple disciplines, including:
K-9 Handlers trained in CPR/AED/First Aid, wilderness survival and navigation, radio communications, GPS, search strategy and tactics, lost person behavior and terrain analysis.
Base camp and support personnel trained in CPR/AED/First Aid, radio communications, GPS, search management, search strategy and tactics, interview techniques, lost person behavior, and map and compass.
A self-contained base camp unit with communications systems and map files for all local counties.
SARDOM is primarily a Wilderness Search and Rescue team. However, many of our dogs are cross-trained in other disciplines to better serve the community
DISASTER WORK Any disaster, natural or man-made, involving victims trapped under rubble or in collapsed buildings.
DROWNINGS Location of drowned subject, via boat, in lakes, rivers or creeks.
CADAVER/EVIDENCE Concealed articles or human remain evidence in a possible criminal context. Situation must not pose an undue risk to handler or dog
